- Any length up to 12,000 words (most common length is 1500 - 6000 words)
- Entries must NOT have been published in any print publication.
Reading fee: $15 per story. Maximum of three entries per competition.
Winners will be announced in the August 1 and contacted one week earlier.

- 1st Place wins $1500, publication in Glimmer Train Stories, and 20 copies.
- 2nd Place wins $500 (or $700 and 10 copies, if accepted for publication).
- 3rd Place wins $300 (or $700 and 10 copies, if accepted for publication).
